Miniatoy is a 3D printing company that focuses on 1:6 or 1:12 scale models. The 3D prints are typically used in building a diorama for action figure photography or for doll houses. Miniatoy began an Esty page and wanted a black logo to use on their shop page and social media profiles.

Logo Process

Final Logo & Icon

This logo represents the 3D element of the company’s products. The letters are jumbled around as if they were haphazardly placed into the box — an ode to a child’s toy chest.

Logo Concepts

Concept 1 – The squares mimic the printing plates of a 3D printing machine.

Concept 2 – The box idea began when thinking of making a shoe box–diorama in grade school.
